Plitvice - INFO

Plitvice Lakes is the most famous national park in Croatia and is one of the most beautiful sights in Europe. The wealth and the splendour of the water, the sounds made by the waterfalls, the awe-inspiring strength and power of the nature, are probably the first things you will experience when you see Plitvice Lakes for the first time.
Plitvice Lakes consist of a group of 16 terraced lakes connected by the waterfalls, and a kilometre-long network of wooden bridges and forest paths provides visitors with the possibility of a close encounter with the waterfalls and the lakes. The virginal nature that creates the waterfalls, the flora and the fauna of the national park, inside and outside the lakes, is the reason why the park attracts thousands of excited visitors each year.
The waters flowing over the limestone and chalk have, over thousands of years, deposited travertine barriers, creating natural dams which in turn have created a series of spectacular lakes, caves and waterfalls. These geological processes continue today. The great natural beauty and the diversity of life forms are the reasons why Plitvice Lakes National park is one of UNESCO's World Heritage sites.
The beauties of the park offer you a unique opportunity to be one with nature's harmony with numerous holiday and excursion activities, long walks in the nature and the recreational programs for all generations.
Our premium offer of private and hotel accommodation in the Park's area is a guarantee for a pleasant holiday at Plitvice Lakes.
