Town Vis is situated on the north side of the island of Vis, along a beautiful cove of Saint Juraj. Vis is the only place on the island that is every day connected with Split by a ferry and a catamaran. City of Vis is, as well, a good choice for those who came without a car because everything you need is close. City's gravel beach is just about hundred meters away from the centar of town. Near the city, there are also some sandy and gravel beaches (Parja, Rogošić, Mala Svitnja, Vela Svitnja). This is a place where everybody can find something for themselves, for those who are anxious for active vacation but also for families with little children.
