Bol is a well known summer resort situated in the middle of the southern coast of island Brač and it is the only town on that side of the island. There is a mountainous wreath rising above it, called "Bolska kruna" (Bol's crown) as well as the highest peak of all Adriatic islands - Vidova gora (778m). Bol is known for its beautiful beaches, and among them, the well known "Zlatni rat"; it is one of the most beautiful beaches on the Adriatic and, so people say, the only one in the world that is formed perpendicular to the coast. Bathing here is a true sensation. A special atmosphere is created by pine woods which grow along the entire coastline. Bol offers many great ways of fun (many parties), sports (it is one of the most famous gathering points for windsurfers), as well as ways to relax, it can be recommended to young people and families with children.
