Mimice is a small typical Mediterranean place, located beneath the slopes of the Omis part of Dinara, only 12km from the town of Omis. This place stretches from the mountain all the way to the beautiful pebble beaches. Mimice is proud with two town beaches famous for their white sand – favorite bathing places of the youngest, as well as those a bit older. Numerous beaches and coves are situated in the surroundings, where everyone can find a covert place for themselves. The tourist tradition of Mimice dates back to 1927, and the place itself its over three centuries old, which is proved by numerous monuments located in the old part of the town, near the church. For those in search of fun and active vacation, an unforgettable experience is organized near Omis and Makarska. In Omis, you can visit numerous historical sites that marked the town, such as: the Mirabela fort, the Fortica fort, parish church of St. Mihovil, Franciscan convent, St. Peter church, Holy Ghost church, St. Roko church, St. Mary church, Illyrian seminary, town museum, old Omis cemetery, medieval town core, pole of shame and the old town lodge. Makarska is one of the most famous tourist destinations on the Croatian coast. The city is full of tourist activities and everyone is sure to find something to their liking. Split is one of the best known and most visited tourist destinations in Croatia and the second largest city in the country.  It is an eternally young city which lives with a slow pace that is very easy to get accustomed to. This city is rich in historical monuments of which we recommend the following: Diocletian’s palace (the heart of the city), the Iron Gate, the statue of bishop Gregory of Nin, the cathedral of St. Duje, church of St. Francis, cathedral of St. Peter, the main court, city basement, St. Anne’s monastery and many others.

Hvar is an ancient city with a rich history. The city faces the sunny South side of the world and has the sunniest days during the year. Its name comes from the island’s Greek name Pharos. Of the city’s historical monuments you can visit the fortress Fortica, the Hvar cathedral, theatre and Franciscan monastery. Hvar is the heart of Croatian island tourism and is one of the most visited destinations in the entire Adriatic. The main attractions of the city are: its warm, sunny climate, its various accommodation opportunities, sport and recreation, its natural beauty, a good gastronomic offer and the city’s active night life.

Bol is the oldest town on the coast of Brac. It is rich with long pebbly and sandy beaches which stretch for about 10km. One of the most beautiful beaches on the Adriatic is located in Bol – Zlatni rat. Historical sites enthusiasts can visit the roman aqueduct, tombstones and reliefs, old Christian sarcophagus, preromantic church of St. Ivan and Tudor, renaissance baroque palace, bishop residency and the church of Our Lady of Grace.

    Mimice / Medici
The beach in Medici right next to Mimice was far better than in Mimice. Mimice was a real quiet little town, with a few decent restaurants. We especially liked the one on a patio on the beachfront in the middle of Mimice. Great food and friendly staff!
We missed the possibility to buy meat at a butcher as the only store in town had next to nothing when it comes to meat, and they spoke absolutely no english, or didn`t want to try.
