island Mljet - INFO

The island of Mljet is situated in South Dalmatia near Dubrovnik, with one part of the island being a National Park. There are plenty of fish, crabs, shells or other seafood specialties like smoked octopus you can enjoy there. People usually associate Mljet with Odysseus, mythical king of Ithaca, who, after surviving a shipwreck, swam to a cave od Calypso and became her prisoner. Today one cave on the island is called Odyssey's cave. You can reach Mljet by ferry from Dubrovnik, Korčula or the Pelješac peninsula.
