Porec is a tourist centre on the west coast of Istria, famous for its beautiful natural ambiance, long-time tourist tradition and well equipped tourist villages such as Plava (blue) and Zelena (green) lagoon, Brulo, Pical and Špadići. Poreč is sheltered by St. Nicholas island, which has rocky and sandy beach. On the surrounding beaches there are 19 ''Blue flags'', and starting this year, for the first time, tourists have an accommodation-capacity with 4 stars and the first wellness centre at Hotel Diamant which is at their disposal. Porec is distinguished with various assortments which satisfies different quest demands: nautical tourism enthusiasts have 3 marinas at their disposal, and cultural and historical devotees can enjoy numerous cultural and historical sights. Because of the diversity of content in Poreč such as, rich assortments of hotels and private accommodation and beautifully ordered beaches, Porec is called ''the metropolis of Croatian tourism'' rightfully.
