Zastrazisce is a small town on the island of Hvar, which is composed of several hamlets: Mola Bond, Podstrana, Donje Polje, and Grudac. It was named after a watchtower which is located on a hill Vela Glava providing a beautiful view of Makarska Riviera on the north side and Korcula and the Peljesac peninsula on the south side. The town is rich in beautiful and peaceful bays with clear water, such as Vela Stiniva, Pokrvenik, Dubac (occupied during the entire year), Stanji Mir, Sinjava Kjusna, Krusevo (not residing in the winter). Local people have always been engaged in agriculture (growing of grapes and olives), but in recent times tourism takes a dominant role in the town development.
Sports fans and those wishing to have an active holiday have the ability to play tennis, soccer, basketball, volleyball and handball. National parks such as Krka, Kornati and Mljet are unavoidable destinations because of their beauty, opportunity for hiking on the nearby trails and enjoyment of nature. For one-day trips we recommend the neighboring uninhabited islands that are especially interesting for guests who want to experience the life of Robinson Crusoe. Also you can visit places known for monuments and archaeological sites such as Sibenik, Dubrovnik, Split and Zadar.
For those looking for night life we recommend very attractive discos and night clubs located in close vicinity and on the neighboring islands. The town is linked to other destinations through the port, highway and airport in Split.
