Zadar riviera - INFO

Zadar and the Zadar Riviera are situated on the most indented part of the Adriatic full on small bays, islets and islands which you can visit owing to a quality offer of excursion packages. No less than three national parks are situated in the Zadar area: Paklenica, Krka and Kornati, as well as Velebit and Telaščica nature parks which are simply a must.
Biograd na Moru, the city where Croatian Kings were crowned, is widely known today as a tourist destination, as well as nautical centre, located in the middle of the Adriatic coast.
The city of Zadar emerged around the remains of the Roman Forum. The city inside the preserved walls with numerous churches and a stunning cultural heritage will amaze even the most demanding history buff.
The Zadar archipelago abounds in small and large islands, all of which are quite unique. If you feel like it, you can choose to live like Robinson Crusoe on one of the non-inhabited islets and stay in a remote cottage as a perfect escape from the urban way of life and the everyday routine.
Zadar's appeal and charm lies in a winning combination of nautical tourism, local specialties offered by numerous taverns, authentic island atmosphere, beautiful beaches and promenades, interesting summer events and exceptionally valuable historical monuments.

Did you know
that the town of Zadar has the "sea organs" under the sea? It is the waves that play "the organ" and produce the beautiful sounds that echo around the Zadar riva?

Fun & Nightlife

Each year Zadar offers its visitors the Zadar Summer Festival, Music evenings in the Church of St. Donat, and a great tourist festivity called Night of the full moon in July when the parties in the city squares and the tiny streets go on till early morning hours. Another great folk festivity is the Days of Maraska. The festivity lasts for several days and large quantities of the Maraschino liqueur are consumed. For those who prefer a livelier entertainment, there are many clubs on the island of Pag. In Zadar you should check out Forum, Gotham and Kult Cafe where you can party till early morning hours.
