Good announcements for the season come from the tourism fair held from 7 to 12 March 2012 in Berlin.
German tour operators have recorded a double-digit growth in bookings in Croatia in the first three months of this year, in comparison to the same period last year.
Croatia expects a positive booking trend in the season of 2012, as well as off season considering the fact that a lot of effort was made to extend the tourist season with various cultural and active contents.
It should be mentioned that the Croatian National Tourist Board won the tourist Oscar on that prestigious tourism fair fort the promotional movie Ode to joy in the tourist movie category – Das goldene Stadttor.
The competition was extremely strong and it is very important to mention that the Croatian “Ode to joy” won among 92 movies from 28 counties from around the world. The idea for this movie came from the famous Croatian cello player Ana Rucner, after her performance of the Ode to joy with the Croatian National ( Radio) Television orchestra and the Lado ensemble. You can hear a lot of Croatian national instruments such as bagpipes and the so-called “sopile”in the movie.
