The Lopud island is the second biggest island belonging to the Elafiti islands, situated between the islands Kolocep and Sipan, 7 NM north-west from the town Dubrovnik. There are two bays: the Lopud bay and the Sljunj bay in which one of the most beautiful beaches on the Adriatic is located. Lopud is an island that has a settlement and small harbour of the same name. The place itself is situated in the middle of a wide bay with a spacious pebble beach. Thanks to sandy beaches, copious subtropical vegetation and breathtaking landscapes, the Lopud island can offer a pleasant vacation. In these oases there is no traffic and nothing disturbsthe peace and beauty of Lopud. There is a splendid promenade alongside the Sea, from the harbour to a belvedere where there is a magnificent view of the islands Mljet and Sipan and further to the immense open sea.
