The city of Pag is the center of Pag Island, which is known for its magnificent lace and wonderful sheep’s cheese. It has developed into the center of an interesting modern center with towers and fortresses which maintain the rich heritage of the past. The city is rich in cultural monuments, due to its turbulent history. Those who enjoy historical heritage can visit the Congregational church of the Assumption, duke’s court (dates to the 15th century, served as center of the island and city rule), church of St. George (patron saint of Pag, part of the northeastern city walls), church of St. Francis, St. Margarita monastery, salt magazines (unique monuments of Pag architecture on an international level). You can also visit the old city which is one kilometer away from the city center and is part of the city center since the 1970’s, holding numerous historical monuments. There are parts of a Franciscan monastery, Roman church of St. Mary, as well as the remains of ancient monuments. Today’s church of St. Mary was built on the foundations of an early Croatian Basilica from the 8th century, while the monastery well and statue of the Mother of the old town make it unique. For those who prefer an active vacation, Pag has a lot to offer. There is an Olympic center in the Lokunje region with tennis courts and fields for numerous other sports. The Pag Bay is lined with 20km of pebble and sand beaches which consist of three city beaches and the following: Golija, Kozlinjak, Dubrava, Bosana, Tartanovo, Sveti Marko, Sveta Marija, Filino and Ručica Metajna. Culinary specialties of Pag can be tasted in numerous restaurants such as “Barcarola”, “Belveder”, “Bile”, “Biser”, “Dida” and “Pagus”.

Novalja is the tourist center of Pag Island. Special attractiveness is given to the town by its beautiful pebble and sandy beaches. Guests can enjoy a variety of fishes in its restaurants. There is a large offer of activities on the Novalja beaches, ranging from sports activities to night clubs. You can visit the roman water supply system where temperature is maintained at 15 degrees Centigrade even in the middle of the summer. The best known of its beaches are Zrće, Planjka, Holy Spirit, Casca, Straško and Ručica. Zrće is one of the most attractive and most beautiful beaches in Novalja. It has three night clubs and numerous bars and cafes for evening and daytime entertainment.
Zadar is a city with an extraordinary history and extremely valuable cultural heritage. It is located in the very heart of the Adriatic and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country. Zadar is said to be a real treasury of archaeological and monumental treasure of all periods. It is most known for the following historical monuments: St. Donat church, Cathedral of St. Stošije, St. Šime church, St. Mary’s church and monastery, St. Frane church and monastery, city walls, fortresses and gates and many others. Apart from these historical landmarks, the city is well known for the following attractions: sea organ, solar circle, national square, Five Wells Square, the city’s silver and gold, Forum, Ancient Glass Museum and Kalelarga.
Nin is a small town in Zadar County with only 1500 inhabitants. The center of this ancient town is a small island (diameter of 500km) which is connected to the mainland with two bridges. It is famous for its turbulent history which is evident from its historical landmarks: St. Križ church (“smallest cathedral in the world”), St. Jacob’s church, St. Anselmo Cathedral, remains of the largest Roman temple on the Eastern coast of the Adriatic, Duke Branimir’s statue, Lower town gates and access bridge, royal square with well, statue of bishop Gregory of Nin and the coronation church of St. Nicholas. Other than its historical monuments, Nin is also known for its natural beauty such as the Nin bay, mouth of the Ričina River, “Solana Nin” Nature Park, Nin port and seaside promenade.
