The location of Villa Carić is in the village of Svirče, quiet and picturesque village where most of the population is engaged in agriculture, moreover associated in cooperation they produce World famous wines of superior quality.
The house which is more than 150 years old, its owners have decided to completely renovate in 2006 using only stone from this region.
On the already existing residence with bedrooms spacious living room, kitchen and dining room were added and everything was connected with inner steps. In the yard a swimming pool and covered terrace were built and nearby a parking lot was added. A separate room within the house which once served as a stone water tank, ie “gustirna” is now a wine cellar where you can taste all the famous wines of the region.
Everything together makes a unique complex; the context of tradition in modern and comfortable surroundings.
During summer days a wine tasting event is periodically held in the village with the participation of local people: a lot of choir klapa singing , authentic products , and of course good wine. Visitors can then witness the competition in Zogo falo – ball game that is played from hand in the narrow and uneven village streets.
