Umag is a little town and a port on the northwest side of Istria’s coast. This famous business and tourist centre is only 40 km far from Trieste and 150 km from Ljubljana. The best example of Umag's development is the world famous ATP tour, the tennis tournament which is held every year. This town of sport and cultural monuments is ideal for an active or a relaxing vacation - for both sportsmen and families. In Umag there are a lot of beaches (8 of them have "The blue flag") and they are mostly gravel or with rocky boards. The most famous beach is in the tourist village Stella Maris. For those who are anxious for night life, we recommend Rovinj and Poreč.
