Okrug Donji is a smaller tourist village than neighbouring village Okrug Gornji, situated on the Ciovo island which is connected with Trogir town by a movable bridge. Situated 40 km away from Split, Okrug Gornji, as also this whole area, is famous for beautiful beaches, numerous coves and camp sites (the most famous is Rožac). Therefore, if you have children and you are looking for a sandy beach with shallow sea, this is the right place. Okrug Gornji is perfect for a family who is looking for quite and evening silence, and nearness of the town Trogis guarantees enough of entertaining and cultural happenings during the whole season.
Disadvantages are bigger crowds during the season on the bridge which connects Trogir to the Ciovo island.
