Croatia as a hit destination is continuing to prove popular among a large number of world-famous celebrities who have visited the Adriatic in the past few years. We are bringing you a fine list of international stars who were caught catching some sun this summer while enjoying the beauty of the Croatian coast.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\nA star on the top of our list, who has drawn the most attention is definitely Tom Cruise<\/strong>, who, after a painful divorce from Katie Holmes<\/em>, decided to find his dose of relaxation in Croatia<\/strong>. His holiday began on the island of Hvar, where in the company of his friends he enjoying drinks, photographing with his fans while signing autographs. After Hvar<\/strong> <\/a>he visited the city of Dubrovnik<\/strong><\/a>, a favorite destination for numerous famous persons<\/strong>. When he visited Dubrovnik in 2004 he was so delighted with the city that he promised to return, and he did.<\/p>\n

The charms of the Croatian coast attracted the legendary rock singer Tina Turne<\/strong>r who in August of this year flew into Dubrovnik<\/strong> <\/a>and boarded the Lady Marina, one out of a hundred largest yachts in the world.<\/p>\n

Tina Turner <\/strong>and Tom Cruise<\/strong> are just some of the celebrities who made their way down the\u00a0 Dubrovnik <\/a>Stradun street this summer<\/strong>. Along with them were also the British Academy Award winner Jeremy Irons<\/strong>, actor Paul Brannigan<\/strong>, producer Andy Paterson<\/strong>, director Michelle Ohayon<\/strong> and many others. Apart from Dubrovnik another favorite celeb destination is Hvar.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nA well known rapper, MC Hammer<\/strong>, who became famous with his hit U Can\u2019t Touch This, wrote the following on his Twitter<\/strong> <\/a>profile after a visit to Hvar: “I feel energy everywhere. The night life on Hvar is fantastic. The sea is so blue that I can’t believe it\u2019s real. Croatia is beautiful “<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0DJ David Morales and British singer Boy George<\/strong> also visited Hvar<\/a>. Boy George could not suppress his delight of Croatia\u2019s beauty during his press conference.<\/p>\n

World champion in Formula 1 Michael Schumacher<\/strong> and his family visited Hvar in secret, where while hiding from the public eye, enjoyed the specialties of local restaurants. This was not his first visit to Croatia. Several years ago he spent his summer in safety and tranquility of the Pakleni islands.<\/p>\n

Croatia has charmed many visitors with her beauty bringing them back year after year. Among the best known are Roman Abramovich, the Russian billionaire<\/strong> and president of Chelsea football club, and Bernie Ecclestone,<\/strong> the Formula 1 co-owner, who enjoy sailing the Adriatic.<\/p>\n

Along with the yachtsmen, regular visitors of Croatia are homeowners in Istria, such as the son of the so called pudding king, Richard Oetker<\/strong> and Scottish Lord Alexander McEwen.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Other visitors have included Clint Eastwood, Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta Jones, John Malkovich, Brad Pitt, Jodie Foster, Shakira, Eva Longoria, Gwyneth Paltrow, Stephen Spielberg, George Clooney and Jack Nicholson<\/strong>, while Kevin Spacey<\/strong> made world headlines during his visit in 2008.<\/p>\n

It seems that the reputation of Croatia\u2019s beauty<\/strong> is rapidly expanding so that more and more celebrities are discovering it each year. We can surely say that the world’s biggest stars have a true craze for Croatia.<\/p>\n
