The Sibenik region – top tourist county in Croatia

For the first time in Croatia, there was a search for the best tourist county and a two-week research was made on the topic THE BEST TOURIST REGIONS IN CROATIA.

The Sibenik-knin County is one of the most visited counties in Croatia. Let us recall why. The Sibenik-knin County has two excellent national parks, NP “Kornati” and NP “Krka”, as well as around 300 islands and is one of the most attractive areas for sailing in Croatia. A total of 13 yacht marinas fulfill the highest criteria. Marina FRAPA in Rogoznica has been the best marina in Croatia and one of the best on the whole Mediterranean for years now.
It is a county of high-quality bathing places and beautiful beaches. The Lolic beach in Pirovac, the Blue beach in Vodice and the White beach in Solaris were all awarded Blue flags.  As far as entertainment goes, out of ten top destinations in Croatia, two of them are in this district, Aurora–Primosten and Hacienda–Vodice, which can admit more than 2000 people.

For family tourism, the adjusted places and towns such as Solaris, Primosten, Rogoznica, Murter, Vodice are exactly what attracts many families.

Interesting thematic restaurants such as Santa Maria in Vodice or the very expensive and fantastically built Dalmatian village within the Solaris complex on the Golden shells (Zlatne školjke) in Skradin, exalt many gourmets. It should be mentioned that even smaller restaurants and taverns throughout the district offer exquisite food, so if ever on Kornati, be sure to visit excellent restaurants, especially on the island of Levrnak in the restaurant with the same name. Visit the charming surf-bar Babalu on Kakno.  You will experience the warm, domestic atmosphere at Kate’s, on the Kaprije.

The most visited town in this district in the town of Sibenik, a town of the chanson and the children’s festival. It is the oldest town on the coast founded by the Croats. The St. Jacob (Sv.Jakov) Cathedral, with its beauty, constructional and stylistic features, is the biggest and the most valuable project of the construction heirloom of Sibenik.

This town has an amazing gastronomy offer, malls, movie complexes, even four excellent forts, the most visited ones are the St. Mihovil fort and one of the best sea forts on the Mediterranean, the fort of St. Niikola.
