In just a little while the European Union will be proud to welcome one more member. Croatia will formally join the European Union on the 1st July.2013

This will make things much easier for those from EU countries who wish to visit Croatia but do not have a passport. Now, they can go on holidays to one of the most beautiful coasts carefree.

From July 1st, European Union citizens will be able to enter Croatia with their identification card, which means only one stop on the border. This is to say that border crossings will merge and there will no longer be two stops; both inspections will take place simultaneously to speed up entry.

If you wish to visit Dubrovnik, please do bring your passport because Croatian border gets cut off in Neum and it is necessary to cross a few miles over the Bosnian and Herzegovinian territory.
