Croatia as a hit destination is continuing to prove popular among a large number of world-famous celebrities who have visited the Adriatic in the past few years. A star on the top of our list, who has drawn the most attention is definitely Tom Cruise, who, after a painful divorce from Katie Holmes, decided to find his dose of relaxation in Croatia. A well known rapper, MC Hammer, who became famous with his hit U Can’t Touch This, wrote the following on his Twitter profile after a visit to Hvar: “I feel energy everywhere. The night life on Hvar is fantastic. The sea is so blue that I can’t believe it’s real. Croatia is beautiful “

 DJ David Morales and British singer Boy George also visited Hvar. Boy George could not suppress his delight of Croatia’s beauty during his press conference.

World champion in Formula 1 Michael Schumacher and his family visited Hvar in secret, where while hiding from the public eye, enjoyed the specialties of local restaurants. This was not his first visit to Croatia. Several years ago he spent his summer in safety and tranquility of the Pakleni islands.

Croatia has charmed many visitors with her beauty bringing them back year after year. Among the best known are Roman Abramovich, the Russian billionaire and president of Chelsea football club, and Bernie Ecclestone, the Formula 1 co-owner, who enjoy sailing the Adriatic.

Along with the yachtsmen, regular visitors of Croatia are homeowners in Istria, such as the son of the so called pudding king, Richard Oetker and Scottish Lord Alexander McEwen.

Other visitors have included Clint Eastwood, Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta Jones, John Malkovich, Brad Pitt, Jodie Foster, Shakira, Eva Longoria, Gwyneth Paltrow, Stephen Spielberg, George Clooney and Jack Nicholson, while Kevin Spacey made world headlines during his visit in 2008.
