Buzet (also called «Town of truffles») is situated in the northern part of central Istria. This city sits high up on a hill overlooking the valley of the river Mirna and the mountain of Cicarija. Climate's climate and environment have extended preferential treatment to development of health tourism and agro tourism which offers to guests delicious traditional Istrian cuisine in an intimate natural setting. What should be tasted is an Istrian prosciutto, a sheep cheese, Istrian manestra (soup), fuzi (pasta) with home-grown chicken or gnocchi with a venison sos, sauerkraut, sausages, scrambled eggs with asparagus or mushrooms, lasagne with Istrian truffles, rabbit roasted under the pan.
