Highlights of Central Dalmatia & Dubrovnik Riviera (T3) - Route description

Day 1 (Saturday)  Trogir - Čiovo Island - Makarska Riviera

Boarding in Trogir between 11:30 and 13:00 hours and shortly after we release our ropes. We stop in one of bays on Čiovo island where we have a chance to take our first swimming break. We sail further towards Makarska Riviera known for its beautiful pebbled beaches which stretch like a row of shiny white pearls separated by small rocks. We stay the night in Brela, Baška Voda or Makarska. In the evening guests that arrive later by plane will be taken from the airport to Makarska Riviera.

Day 2 (Sunday)  Pelješac Peninsula - Pomena

We pass near the island of Brač and Hvar and sail towards Pelješac, famous for its excellent red wine. After swimming break in one of Peljesac bay, we head towards Pomena bay on the island of Mljet. One part of the island was proclaimed a National Park - two salt lakes (there is a small islet on the bigger lake with an ancient monastery) which are connected to sea by one narrow canal. You have the possibility to visit National Park (visit includes boat ride to the convent, price ca. 13€ payable at the entrance). We recommend salt lake swimming where temperature is always 2°C higher than sea temperature.

Day 3 (Monday)  Elafit Islands - Dubrovnik

In order to make as much time for Dubrovnik visit as possible, which is surely the height of our trip, we will change meal schedule of full board. Beside breakfast you will get during sail ride from Mljet to Dubrovnik also brunch because lunch will be served between 2 and 3 pm (no dinner). After swimming break on Elafit islands, we arrive around 4 pm in Dubrovnik port (which is half an hour walk or several minutes drive by city bus from the old town), and the rest of day is at your disposal in order to discover and enjoy this unique town. Take a walk on Stradun and town walls and visit numerous sights.

Day 4 (Tuesday)  Dubrovnik - Elafit Islands - Slano

Dubrovnik is not called "Pearl of the Adriatic" for no reason. In time of its uplift in the Middle Ages it belonged to one of the most important economic and cultural centers of the Mediterranean. Today it is opened to all visitors as unique open air museum with infinite sights. You will have enough time to explore the old town. There is possibility of motor sailboat excursion around impressive town walls (surely a unique event and not just for photo-amateurs) and that to small town Cavtat which lies on the Southernmost part of Croatian coast. Excursion price ca. 15,00 € per person (payable at the excursion boat); we kindly ask for your understanding because the excursion is only possible if all guests agree to take it. Overnight stay in a beautiful place Slano, a picturesque fishermen's place which lies North of Dubrovnik in an isolated bay. Before we stop in Slano, we anchor in a bay in Elafit islands for swimming. Alternative is overnight stay in a fishermen's place on the island of Šipan.

Day 5 (Wednesday)  Korčula Island

We head towards North, more accurately the island of Korčula. Korčula has one of the most beautiful old towns in Dalmatia and is often called "Little Dubrovnik" due to its fortification walls. The island was called "Black Island" in the Antique due to its pine forests which are spread across it. We will spend the night in birthplace of a famous seaman Marko Polo.

Day 6 (Thursday)  Hvar Island

We sail from Korčula to Hvar, an island famous for its lavender fields, capital of the same named island lies beneath a fortress with a fantastic view over Pakleni islands. There is a tourist guide waiting for us on Hvar who will take us sightseeing. It is possible for us not to find a mooring spot due to numerous yachts and ships in Hvar port in which case the captain will decide whether we will stay the night in Hvar or some of nearby bays.

Day 7 (Friday)  Šolta Island - Trogir

We sail along Brač and anchor in a bay on Šolta for a swim after which we say goodbye to Dalmatian islands and return to starting port of our trip, Trogir, town under the auspices of UNESCO also called "town-museum". It is a beautiful experience to walk through the labyrinth of streets in the afternoon or evening, admire the walls, defending towers, churches, frescoes and ceilings or just here and there take a glimpse of the old yards.

Day 8 (Saturday) Trogir

Departure after breakfast ca. 9 am.
